Brillion wins conference for fifth consecutive year

KIEL - The Brillion wrestling team did it again.

On Saturday at Kiel, the team won the Eastern Wisconsin Conference for the fifth straight season.

Team standings were Brillion 217, Kiel 192.5, Two Rivers 188, Chilton 181, Sheboygan Falls 177, Valders 129.5 and New Holstein 72.

Six wrestlers took first in their weight classes - Logan Mueller (113 pounds), Jace Nicklaus (120), Trenton Nicklaus (126), Bob Huntley (132), Garett Deiter (138) and Cashton Miller (152).

Ethan Hoyer (106) and Damon Schmidt (220) took second place. Max Lau (285) took fourth place. Sophia Galoff (145) and Carter Miller (182) took fifth place.

The team will compete in next Saturday's regional at Denmark.
