Coroner rules double murder & suicide in Kiel

Posted at 10:50 a.m. on October 2, 2019 The Brillion News MANITOWOC- The deaths of three people in Kiel back on May 26 was a case of a double homicide followed by a suicide. That’s the ruling issued by Manitowoc County Coroner Curtis Green in a statement released on October 2. On May 26, three individuals were found deceased at 123 Southridge Dr. in the City of Kiel. They were Julie A Wood, a 50 year old female, Mason Lesczykowski, a 10 year old male and Jack G Schigur, a 69 year old male. All three were transported to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office for Forensic Autopsy. An investigation was completed by the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DOJ), Kiel Police Department, Wisconsin State Crime Lab and the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office. Following the autopsy, Green said it was determined that Julie Wood and Mason Lesczykowski died from gunshot wounds to the head and the manner of death for both is homicide. Jack Schigur died from a gunshot wound to the head that was self-inflicted. His death is ruled a suicide. A .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun owned and registered to Jack Schigur was the weapon used. The coroner said Schigur and Wood had been involved in a relationship and were both living at the residence.
