HILBERT - The suspension of in-person, on-campus instruction at Hilbert High School, which began on Tuesday, September 22, had been scheduled to end on October 5.
But now that's changed, and students will return to campus on Monday, September 28.
The suspension of in-person classes was done because three teachers were unavailable due to quarantine.
The school had been unable to find substitute teachers to fill those three teaching spots, but then, on Thursday, September 24, the school announced:
Parents and High School Students: We have been able to secure staffing for next week, so all high school students who have previously been here for in-person learning will return this Monday, September 28 at 8 a.m. instead of the original return on Monday, October 5th.
We are excited to have you back in the building! See you bright and early Monday morning!
The suspension of classes this week affected only the high school grades. The elementary and middle school classes remained in-person and on-campus all week.
