HILBERT - Despite the Monday night meeting between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions, the Hilbert School Board has a full agenda, including an update on the "Our Pathway Forward" plan to keep students in school and, at the same time, accommodate COVID guidance.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in room A123.

There are also two other items of interest.

One is a suggested motion to establish a new Facility Study Committee - usually the first step in proposing a new capital projects referendum.

The agenda for the September 20 meeting includes, for the October 25 board meeting, "facility study committee development/architect."

The other is the review of updates to the school district's board by-laws and policies - with 48 to be revised and two new policies to be considered.

Among those considered for revision are: Conflicts of Interest; Board member Behavior and Code of Conduct; Board member Anti-Harassment; Public Comment at Board Meetings; Board-District Administrator Relationship; Controversial Issues in the Classroom; Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education Programs or Activities; and Staff Dress and Grooming.

New policies proposed are Conduct in Virtual Classroom; and Student Activism and Expression.

All of the policy changes proposed are being presented for the first reading, with no action to adopt them at this meeting.
