GREEN BAY - A 31-year old Manitowoc man, Stephen S. Vice, Jr., was sentenced to seven years in federal prison for Possession of Methanphetamine (50 grams or more) with the Intent to Distribute.

Senior U.S. District Court Judge William Griesbach also sentenced Vice to seven years supervised release after his prison term is done.

In his sentencing remarks, Griesbach noted that Vice has been given lenient sentences in the past.

The conviction followed an investigation by the Manitowoc Metro Drug Unit working with the United States Attorney's office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig and Lt. Dave Remiker said Vice had been dealing in meth and fentanyl in Manitowoc County.

In 2021, Vice was convicted on a state felony charge of child neglect.
