REEDSVILLE – Reedsville Elementary School Principal Michael Nate will become the district’s new superintendent.
Nate’s hiring was approved during a special meeting last Thursday night. He will take the place of Kristoffer Brown, who resigned in March, and is with the district through the end of the fiscal school year on June 30.
“It’s been a goal for a long time,” Nate told the newspaper. “Obviously, it’s my hometown.”
Nate was a 1997 graduate of Reedsville High School and is in his ninth year as an elementary principal for the district. He returned to Reedsville as the elementary/middle school principal in 2013 and has been in a principal position since. The middle school’s seventh and eighth grade students moved to the high school two years ago and Nate continued on as elementary principal.
Prior to that, he was in the Hilbert School District for four years as the middle/high school principal from 2009 to 2013.
