No active shooter at Ariens plant; alarm system malfunctioned

BRILLION - There was no active shooter at Ariens Plant 1 on Monday afternoon, but rather a false alarm of one that forced the company's employees to evacuate.

Brillion Police Department officers responded to the scene and swept the building. They found there was a malfunction with the alarm system.

They were called at 2:13 p.m. Other agencies who responded to the scene were Calumet County Sheriff's office, Calumet County SWAT, Chilton Police Department, Reedsville Police Department, New Holstein Police Department, Brillion Fire Department, Brillion First Responders, Westlund Buses and Brillion Ambulance.
