Obituary: Alice M. Mollen

Alice M. Mollen, age 90, of Brillion, passed away on Thursday morning, September 5, 2024 at her residence.

Alice was born on July 30, 1934 in Appleton, daughter of the late Raymond and Rose (Spoerl) Maertz. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Menasha with the class of 1952. On August 21, 1954 she married Ignatius “Moe” Mollen at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2004. Alice was a Girl Scout Leader and was also a member of the Christian Mothers. For many years she volunteered as a driver for the county where she would assist in transporting people for their various appointments. She enjoyed watching tennis on TV and would even stay up late into the night watching international tournaments. Alice and Moe would take the kids camping on their property and even though Alice wasn’t a big fan of camping, she loved the memories that they made with the entire family. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, knitting, crocheting and embroidery.
