Obituary: Anthony “Tony” Schmidt

Anthony “Tony” Schmidt, age 69, a resident of Forest Junction, was called home by the good Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

For the past nearly 4 months, Tony fought hard to recover from a traumatic brain injury, but with his underlying Parkinson's, it was too much.

Brochtrup at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Askeaton. Tony started his career at Keller Structures, Kaukauna. He then worked at Parson Builders for a few years. In 1989, Tony and Sue started Schmidt Carpentry and they worked together until retirement. He built many homes for friends and family. Tony was also a volunteer fire fighter on the Forest Junction Fire Department for many years.

He and Sue enjoyed vacationing together and visited many places such as Mexico and Europe. The couple especially enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Tony enjoyed sailing and even built his own sailboat. He could fix anything, whether he knew anything about it before hand or not.
