Audrey V. Koch, age 98, formerly of Reedsville, passed away Tuesday morning, January 30, 2024 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Audrey was born on November 7, 1925, daughter of the late Ervin and Hilma (Horn) Schwanke. On June 29, 1948 she married William A. Koch in Reedsville. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2008. After their marriage, William and Audrey farmed in the Town of Maple Grove. Later, Audrey went back to school to become a Nurse’s Aide and worked for Homecare Health Services and Hospice in Manitowoc. She was a former member of St. Paul Methodist Church and a current member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church in Manitowoc. Audrey enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and baking. In her later years she enjoyed working on puzzle and word books. Audrey was always kind to everyone she met and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Russell and Susan Koch, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Daniel (Kira) Koch and Connie Koch; one sister-in-law: Bernadette Schwanke, Brillion; and one special family friend: Seth Tuschel. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Randy Koch; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Eldred and Audrey Schwanke, Ronald Schwanke; and one sister and brother-in-law: Jeanette (Hugo) Woldt.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Officiating at the service will be Pastors from Lakeshore United Methodist Church of Manitowoc. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday evening, February 23, 2024 at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
