OBITUARY: Bernadine E. Lemke

Bernadine E. Lemke, 94, Brillion, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.

She was born July 5, 1926 to the late Rudolph and Hilda (Loppnow) Borchardt. On May 21, 1947 she was united in marriage to Lester Lemke at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside.

Bernadine worked along side Lester on the family farm as well as raising her children. In 1997 she and Lester were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Bernadine was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison.

She is survived by her children; Charles (Annette) Lemke, Clifford (Darlene) Lemke, and Marilyn (Robert) Maile. Her grandchildren; William (Sara) Maile, Dawn (Scott) Krueger, Victoria (Patrick) Onsager, Carrie (Eric) Cappelle, Ryan (Nikki) Lemke, Rebecca (Kevin) Hutjens, Russell (Andrea) Lemke, Jason Lemke, as well as 15 great grandchildren. Her family; Alberta Borchardt, Carol Borchardt, Dorothy Zenke, Esther Lemke and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband Lester in 1997, her daughter Marlene in 1969, and her family; Gilbert (Verna) Borchardt, Wilbert (Doris) (Caroline) Borchardt, Norbert (Jeanette) Borchardt, Marvin (Elaine) Borchardt, Melvin Borchardt, Edward Borchardt, Meinhard Borchardt, Lorina (Melvin Hahn) (Sylvester Fels) Fels, Luella (Donald) Miller, and Theodore Lemke.

Friends may visit after 12:30PM on Sunday February 28, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison, 7395 Cty Rd. W, Greenleaf. Services for Bernadine will begin at 3:00PM with Pastor Randy Ott officiating. Live stream of the service can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/c/MorrisonZionLutheran or www.mzluth.org. Masks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.

Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison is assisting the family with arrangements.
