Bonnie L. Swenson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was born at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin in February, 1943, the daughter of the late Doris and August (Charlie) Gotter. She grew up in Forest Junction, Wisconsin until moving to Rollingstone Lake, in Pearson, Wisconsin in 1959. After graduating from Elcho High School in 1961, she married the late Douglas Swenson in 1967. In 1979, she relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she lived until her death. She was a proud member of St. Peter Immanuel Lutheran Church, and most recently, Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa, WI. Bonnie had a strong faith, an unwavering work ethic and was an incredible mother and role model to her son. Bonnie often worked two jobs to advance educational opportunities for her family. She had a thirst for fun and adventure with friends and family and loved to travel. She could often be found cheering on the Brewers, Packers and Bucks, or her grandchildren at high school and college sporting events. Bonnie was loyal to her friends and believed in cultivating and maintaining long-lasting relationships. She often said that she literally spent her entire birthday on the phone answering birthday well-wishers. She was a kind and loving soul that impacted the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all. I love you and miss you Mom! Visitation Monday, April 17, 2023 from 4:00pm until Time of Memorial Service at 6:00pm at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, 6817 W Center Street , Wauwatosa.
