Obituary: Carol J. Koerth

Carol J. Koerth, age 80, of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Garrow Villa with her daughter by her side.  

 




Carol was born on November 13, 1943 in Manitowoc daughter of the late Owen and Edith (Zeitlow) Brennan. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School and was a graduate of Valders High School. On December 27, 1969 she married Darwin “Skip” Koerth in California. Carol owned and operated Koerth Insurance and was also an agent broker and realtor for many years. Carol enjoyed crafts, playing cards with friends and volunteering at the hospital. 

 

Survivors include one son: Terry (Kelly) Fischer of Oconto, WI.; three daughters: Barb (Dan) Guenther of Waterloo, IA.; Lori (Chris) Carbone of Simi Valley, CA.; Lynn Burgarello of Carson City, NV.; eleven grandchildren: Trevor Fischer, Alex Fischer, Julie Fischer, Ryan (Amber) Guenther, Brianna (Jeff) Smith, Brandon Guenther, Nick (Bev) Carbone, Christopher Carbone, Anthony Carbone, Ashley (Gunnar) Harper and Jessica Burgarello; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters: Peggy (Loren) Johnson of Kingsford, MI, Edie Hood of Waterville, ME, Joan (Gary) Lemke of Chilton, WI.; two sisters-in-law: Candice Brennan, Appleton, Rosie Brennan, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Larry (Annika) Koerth, Sandy Schisel, Terri Fischer, Vicki (Jeff) Krahn; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Darwin “Skip” Koerth; one son: Lee Fischer; two sisters and eleven brothers.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Faith United Methodist Church. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Dr. Wesley Jacob. Private family burial will take place at Brillion Community Cemetery.

 

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

 

The Pielhop Wieting Funeral Homes of Brillion & Reedsville are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
