Darlin J. Jacobs, 84, of Barrington, Illinois, passed away on June 30, 2017, at her home.
Darlin was born on January 4, 1933, in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Frederick Reese and Ovella (Toebe).
Darlin was a member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. She grew up in Brillion and graduated from Brillion High School. On February 13, 1954, she was united in marriage to Roger Jacobs at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brillion. Roger and Darlin then moved to Virginia while Roger was in the Army. They then returned to Wisconsin and moved to Kewaskum in 1958. Darlin and Roger raised three beautiful daughters and lived in Kewaskum until 2014. Roger and Darlin then moved to Illinois to live with their daughter.
Those Darlin leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 wonderful years, Roger; three children, Denise (Scott) Walsh of West Bend, Doreen (Tom) Clarkson and Wanda (Dave) Toepfer both of Barrington, Illinois; nine grandchildren, William Walsh, Christopher Walsh, Stacy Walsh, Laurel Clarkson, Matthew Clarkson, Lydia Elliott, Hanna Elliott, Payton Elliott, and Ethan Elliott; five great grandchildren, Callista Walsh, Christian Walsh, Dylan Walsh, Grace Walsh, Mitchell Walsh; a brother, Fred Reese of Hilton Head, South Carolina; a step-mother, Lorraine Reese of Appleton; other relatives and friends.
The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Darlin was preceded in death by a brother, Don Reese of Brillion.
A funeral service for Darlin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive, in Kewaskum. Rev. James Hoogersvorst will officiate and burial will follow in Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.
Darlin’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
