Obituary: David A. Klug

David A. Klug, age 73, of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Rennes in De Pere.




David was born on July 7, 1951 in Green Bay, son of the late Arnold and Sylvia (Schley) Klug.  He was a graduate of East De Pere High School, class of 1969.  David was employed at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement.  He enjoyed playing dart ball in the church league, shooting darts for Shakers, bowled in Wayside, and watched the Brewers and the Packers.  David really did love spending time with his family and seeing his grandchildren playing basketball, baseball, softball, wrestling, volleyball, running races, and all the other activities they kept him busy with.

David is survived by his children: Cari (Jesse) Krepline, Mark (Erin) Klug, all of Brillion, and John (Missy) Klug of Versailles, MO; grandchildren: Maggie, Hunter, and Olivia Krepline, Alayna and Colton Klug, and Sabastian and Carter Klug; Mother of his children: Jean Klug of Brillion; siblings and in-laws: Richard of Bellevue, Sue (Kent) Stanelle of Greenleaf and their children: Brian (Julie) Stanelle and Laura (Adam) Vande Walle; Jean’s Siblings: Mary (Bob) Mancoske, JoAnn (Ron) Propson, Jane (Jim) Steinberger, Tom (Joyce) Brantmeier, Don (Judy) Brantmeier, Bob (Donna) Brantmeier, Laura Heimerl, and Joe (Fancy) Brantmeier; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother: Arnold Jr, two brothers: Dennis, Kenneth “Kenny,” Jean’s brothers: Jim and Danny Brantmeier, and Jean’s brother-in-law: Bob Heimrel.

Funeral Service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion.  Officiating will be Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Thomas Fricke.  Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m.
