Obituary: Diane Schroeder

Diane Schroeder, age 82, of Hilbert passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022. She was born on July 19, 1940, daughter of the late Albert & Esther (Loose) Lefeber.

Diane was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert. She spent her life taking care of her family, house and her flower and vegetable gardens from which she was always willing to share the produce she harvested. Taking care of her son, Roy, until his passing in 2014, was her first priority. Driving others around, especially to the big city of Appleton, so they could run errands was meaningful to her. She looked forward to card games with friends and her sister because it gave her an opportunity to visit and share stories with those she loved. Diane especially enjoyed all of the holidays and the Green Bay Packers and loved to dress for all of those special occasions.

Survivors include her children: Larry (Vicki) Schroeder, Tammy Hogue and her special friend, Junior, Bruce (Lynette) Schroeder; her sister: Nancy Kroiss; her brothers: Gary (Anne) Lefeber and Mike (LouAnn) Lefeber; her grandchildren: Crystal (Kevin) Ziegert, Mark (Misty) Pagel, Rachel Pagel, Kayla (Chase) Jensen, Trisha (Skylar) Liebzeit, Alicia & Alayna Schroeder; and her great grandchildren: Raja, Jaxen, Lewis, Vivien, Hazel, Knox and Mabel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son: Roy; and a brother-in-law: Dick Kroiss.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert with Rev. Mark Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Chilton. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022.

Diane's family would like to thank all of her neighbors as well as the Hilbert-Potter First Responders for their care and compassion that was given to both her and her entire family.
