OBITUARY: Gary J. Chupita

Gary J. Chupita, age 66, of Menchalville, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.


Gary was born November 30, 1955 to the late John Edwards Chupita and Doris Jean (Becker) Steiner. He was employed 43 years with Brillion Iron Works and a Volunteer for Brillion Fire Department for 14 years. Gary loved to hunt, fish, woodworking, flying his radio-controlled airplanes, hosting Fourth of July parties complete with fireworks for family and telling the story of how he got his nickname “Beagle”.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Chupita; son: Justin (Andrea) Chupita, Brillion; daughters: Nicole (Domminic) Gifford, Green Bay, Angela (Jason) Geiser, Brillion, Tammy (Noah) Ott, Brillion, Jaime (Scott) Ozment, Brillion; granddaughters: Ashlyn Chupita, Lauren Chupita, Molly Gifford, Mackenzie Schoen, Elise Ott; grandsons: Elliot Gifford, Sebastian Gifford, Dante Gifford, Zachary Schoen, Merrick Ott, Hayden Bastian, Ashton Bastian; and brothers: David Chupita and Daniel (Kay) Chupita, all of Menchalville.

He was preceded in death by his father: John Chupita; mother: Doris Steiner; stepfather: Robert Steiner; granddaughter: Everly Rose Gifford; and grandson: Devin Reinke.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S.14th Street, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 3:00 pm.

We the family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at both Aurora Hospitals for all they did to make Gary’s stays at the hospital as comfortable as they could. And a thank you to the Kellnersville Rescue Squad and Valders ambulance for all the respect and care shown during transport.
