Obituary: Henrietta (Seehawer) Marx Kushava

Henrietta (Seehawer) Marx Kushava, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, with her dear husband Francis “Frank” Kushava at her side.

Henrietta was born on December 4, 1933 in Centerville, Missouri, daughter of the late Kermit and Ruth (Field) Seehawer. She graduated from UW-Oshkosh and taught third grade in Racine for many years, specializing in reading. Henrietta then later taught kindergarten in Reedsville. Henrietta married the late Melvin Marx in 1957 and they dearly loved their daughter Katherine Marx, of Appleton. Their granddaughter, Aurora Marx, was a special joy and light in their lives. Henrietta taught Aurora to speak, read, print and spell. She was so proud of Aurora. Henrietta loved to quilt, do puzzles, and watch her husband Frank’s flowers grow. She especially cared for her church, Faith United Methodist Church, the Brillion Public Library and New Hope Center, Inc. in Chilton.

She will be sadly missed by her dear husband: Frank Kushava. They were married on June 1, 2010 and so enjoyed every day of their life together, as soulmates. She is also survived by three sisters: Sue (Bill) Van Ooyen, Rose Schmidt and Jessie (Mike) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Melvin; and her brother: Kermit Seehawer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Faith United Methodist Church of Brillion. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dale Eggert with burial to take place at Brillion Community Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, October 20, 2023 at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
