Obituary: Jean Marie Trotier

December 6, 1937~ November 19, 2022

Jean, 84, passed peacefully after a lengthy battle with cardiac issues, leaving behind her devoted daughters June Kennedy (Brad), Brenda Trotier Snyder (Dennis), and Marsha Trotier, and beloved grandchildren Jennifer Neumann (Austin), Jared Kennedy, and Ryan Kennedy (Ciara). Jean was preceded in death by her adored husband, Kent, and we are delighted that they are together once again for all eternity.

Jean was born and raised in Brillion, Wisconsin, to Jennie and Henry Thissen, and later moved to Milwaukee to attend Milwaukee Business College to pursue secretarial training. During this time, Jean worked for Medusa Cement Company, and met her one true love Kent. They were married on September 1, 1962, at St. Robert’s Church in Shorewood, Wisconsin, and would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. They eventually relocated to South Milwaukee, and Jean spent many years taking care of her family before returning to the work force in 1986 as front desk receptionist at Crane Manufacturing in Cudahy, before retiring in 2002.

Jean was a fabulous cook and baker, as well as a talented seamstress and musician, and used those skills to the fullest of her abilities. Jean loved soap operas, TV game shows, and the Home Shopping Network, and spent countless hours enjoying these pursuits. She was also an excellent hostess, and entertained all who were welcomed into her home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 800 Marquette Avenue South Milwaukee from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am

Interment on Friday December 16, 2022at 2:00 pm at St Mary Parish Cemetery, Brillion WI

Jean will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth and concern for others, and for the strength and tenacity she showed during her time with us. She was a shining example of perseverance for all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society, Zilber Family Hospice, or the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
