Jerome “Jerry” G. Reis, age 79, of Reedsville, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 in Reedsville.
Jerry was born on July 29, 1942 in Manitowoc, son of the late George and Clara (Tauschek) Reis. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School with the class of 1961. On October 26, 1963 he married the former Judy Vondrachek at St. Mary Catholic Church in Reedsville. Jerry served 6 years with the US Army Reserve. He worked for 43 years at the Ariens Company of Brillion until his retirement in 2005. Jerry was very involved in various church committees including the church picnic and the buildings & grounds committee. He was a member of the AMVETS Post #1032, the Village of Reedsville Board, Knights of Columbus and enjoyed working with Judy as a poll worker for elections. Jerry was especially proud of the recognition he and Judy received as Reedsville Citizens of the Year in 2006 for their work at Patrick’s Patches, the community and church. Jerry also helped found Patrick’s Patches in Reedsville 29 years ago and still volunteered there until he passed away.
