OBITUARY: Jesus “Jesse” A. Contreras

Jesus “Jesse” A. Contreras, age 92, a Brillion resident, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.

He was born on April 18, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas, son of the late Gregory and Gregera (Esquivel) Contreras. Jesse was a Veteran of the United States Army from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1952. On June 26, 1978 he married the former Rovella Krueger at Peace United Church of Christ, Brillion. Jesse was employed at Ariens Company for 26 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of American Legion Post #126 of Brillion.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years: Rovella of Brillion; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Earl (LuAnn) Krueger, Brillion; a niece: Nicole (Ryan) Zimmerman of Appleton; a sister-in-law: Joan Heffner; along with other relatives. He was preceded in death by a sister: Maria; four brothers: Joe, Lupe, Maria, Brigido; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bob (Lorraine) Krueger, Vilies (LaVerne) Krueger, Vernon (Delores) Krueger, Clarence (Kathy) Krueger, Gladys (Orville) Krueger, Rosella (Herman) Sturtz, Lillian (Edward) Mickle, Philip Heffner, Leroy Krueger; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Clarence (Anna) Jentsch.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at The Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Tom Pomeroy with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 until 11:00 a.m. Military Rites will be accorded by Becker, Bloedorn, Jensen Post 126 of Brillion.
