Jody Charles Meetz, age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, peacefully at home, in Cave Creek, AZ, while surrounded by the love of his life and family. Jody fought courageously throughout his battle with cancer.
Jody grew up on his family’s farm in Brillion, WI and loved working alongside his Grandpa Hoyer, Uncle Pat, dad and brother Dale. During Jody’s childhood, he enjoyed breaking away from the farm chores, with Dale, to ride their bicycles to Oscar’s for soda and ice cream. Jody has always been a kid at heart with his love for Disney and collection of John Deere tractors.
Jody worked in the printing industry for over 30 years. In 2012, he ventured out on his own, creating Meetz Industrial Printing Services, which allowed him to utilize his talents and establish lifelong friendships.
Jody’s greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, especially his little sidekick Parker, vacationing in Kona HI, riding his Harley and SXS, doing projects around the house and making daily trips to the grocery store. Everyone knew you could count on Jody to have everything you never knew you needed. If by chance he didn’t have it, you’d find it on the counter by the next day.
Jody is survived by his beautiful bride of 24 years, Katherine; daughter Taryn Meetz, son Tyler (Logan) Meetz; stepchildren; Kyle (Janey) Steinke, Lindsey Steinke, Derek (Tessa) Steinke and Samantha Steinke; grandchildren; Nora Kowalski, Grayson and Emily Weber, Parker Mahalak, Marty and Daphne Steinke. Jody is further survived by his parents, Conrad and Grace Meetz, his brother Dale (Kathy) Meetz; nephews Kurtis (Jacquelyn) Meetz and Alex (Mariana) Meetz; niece Kristine (Jamison) Princl.
Jody was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and beloved infant sister, Pamela Ann.
A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later day.
Jody, we will think of you with every passing Harley and know you are enjoying the open roads of Heaven. We will see you again when our earthly journey is over.
