Lila E. Pingel, age 90, a resident of Brillion, entered eternal life on August 28, 2022 at her home with her family at her side after a short illness.
Lila was born on January 13, 1932 in the town of Brillion, to the late William and Emma (Thurow) Janke. She married Glenroy “Butch” Pingel on May 31, 1952 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion. Butch preceded her in death on March 15, 1997. Lila was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion.
Lila is survived by a daughter Joyce of Brillion, two sons, Jerry of Brillion and Jay and fiancé Janet Duellman of Sheboygan, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents, husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law Herman and Ella (Bartz) Pingel, two brothers Raymond Janke and Harland Janke, two brothers-in-law Harry Pingel and Menro Zahn, and sisters-in-law Bernice Janke, Mary Ann Janke, Diane Janke, Arline Pingel, and Erna Zahn.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church 601 East National Avenue in Brillion. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Thomas Fricke with burial to follow at Brillion Community Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday, September 1, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
