Marcia Kasten, 86, of De Pere, Wisconsin, was called to her eternal home on March 1, 2023.
Marcia was born on June 2, 1936 in Brillion, Wisconsin, to the late Edgar and Leona (Ebert) Wolf. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran in Brillion. She attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and was a graduate of Brillion High School. On December 15, 1956, Marcia married the love of her life, Roger Kasten. After their children were in school, Marcia was employed at Kasson Cheese, United Healthcare, and humbly served others as a caregiver for Home Instead.
She was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside where she was involved in many of the church/school ministries. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, dancing and taught sewing, knitting, and crocheting! Above all, she cherished time with her family, as her home was the go-to house. That devotion was the foundation that built a close-knit family, all of which know Christ as their Savior.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Roger and six children; Robin Kasten of Orange County, California, Kim Moceri of Green Bay, Tracy (Roger) Kupsh of De Pere, Susan (David) Balthazor of Flower Mound, Texas, Holly (Dean) Valentine of De Pere, and Ryan (Dawn) Kasten of Libertyville, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Dylan (Emily) Valentine, Carley (Trammell) Lynes, Colton (Naomi) Valentine, Kamry (Kaleb) Lehman, Connor Kupsh, Quinn Moceri, Brock Balthazor, Keira, Kathryn, and Carter Kasten; and two step grandchildren, Jessica (fiance, Drew) Balthazor, Cameron (fiance, Maria) Balthazor; five great grandchildren, Ruth, Roger and Kirby Valentine, Brooks Lynes, and Leona Valentine; and two step great grandchildren, Howard and Harvey Falk; three sisters, Judy Ralidis, Lana (Will) Krueger, Shelby (Jim) Sloma; one brother, DuWayne (Shirley) Wolf; sister-in-laws, Ginny Wolf, Betty Krueger, and Carol Borchardt and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by her brothers,Verl Wolf and Clarmont Wolf; her sister, Verdayne Meyer; granddaughter, Karissa Kupsh; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Greetings of friends and relatives will be held at Zion Lutheran Wayside 8378 County Road W, Greenleaf, Wisconsin from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, March 6, 2023.
