Michael “Mitch” L. Suchan, age 73, of Hilbert, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

Mitch was born on October 20, 1951 in Manitowoc, son of the late Robert. M. and Rosa Bella E. (Carter) Suchan. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1970. Following graduation, Mitch worked at Ariens for a short time before starting and working for the rest of his career at the Brillion Iron Works as a Master Mechanic in the Maintenance Department. After the work day was done, he could often be found enjoying “a cold one” with friends. In his free-time, he liked to go fishing and always had a love of American sports cars and owned several over the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mitch is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law: Jody (Matt) Denor of Brillion and Andrea (Aric) Grenzer of Hilbert; grandchildren: Ava Denor and Alandra and Addison Grenzer; Mother of his daughters: Sharon Wenzel of Reedsville; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Steve (Barb) Suchan of Eagle River and Joanne Suchan of Reedsville; special friends: Kathy Albers and Lisa Liebzeit, both of Hilbert; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather: Merlin Piepenburg; one brother: David Suchan; and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, December 12, 2024 at Pielhop Funeral Home in Brillion.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
