OBITUARY: Mildred A. “Millie” Grimm

Mildred A. “Millie” Grimm, age 85, of Reedsville, passed away early Sunday morning, June 5, 2022 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.


Millie was born on June 27, 1936 in Lark, WI, daughter of the late William and Hilda (Lemke) Luedtke. She attended East DePere High School. On February 6, 1954 she married Ervin Grimm in Morrison, WI. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1997. Millie worked for the Mirro Company, Kasson Cheese and later Branch Cheese. She was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church of Wayside and walked closely with the Lord her entire life. Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16. Millie enjoyed crafting (especially embroidery), cooking and canning, gardening and farming. She loved her family most of all.

Survivors include her children: Bruce (Barb) Grimm, Debbie Grimm, Cindy Grimm, Julie (Cliff) Vigue, Sherrie (Donald) Tollefson, Patti Gorr, Mark (Jackie) Grimm, Deanne (Lenny) Lewis, Darlene (Shannon) Liptow, Dan (Tina) Grimm; one daughter-in-law: Mari Grimm; 28 grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Lon Grimm; her siblings: Hilma (Fred) Maile, Violet (Ervin) Ashley, Warren Luedtke; and her in-laws: Eleanore (Jerome) Kane, Helen (Francis) Kennedy, June (Harlan) Wunsch, Betty (Ed) Belinski and Clarence (Donna) Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Austen Welter and Rev. Kyle Wangelin with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
