OBITUARY: Randall W. “Louie” Loose

Randall W. “Louie” Loose, age 73, of Reedsville, passed away on Thursday afternoon, January 21, 2021 at Homestead Care Center, New Holstein.


Louie was born on December 27, 1947 in Green Bay, son of the late Milford and Rufina (Lau) Loose. He was a 1966 graduate of Reedsville High School. Louie served with the United States Army Reserves serving from 1966 until 1971. He was married to the love of his life, Deborah P. Knitter on October 23, 1970 at St. John-St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsville. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2000. Louie and Debbie farmed in the Town of Rockland until 2000, when he began working for Tecumseh in New Holstein. He also worked for Ariens, Reedsville Equity and the Brillion Iron Works. Louie always enjoyed deer hunting with the Boar’s Nest hunting group, enjoyed going to Las Vegas, fishing, pheasant hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren getting ice cream. He loved his 1969 Dodge Charger. Louie was a member of St. John-St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsville, and the Reedsville AMVETS Post #1032.

Survivors include his five children and their spouses: Amanda (Brent) Rosner, Reedsville, Corinna (Scott) Lefeber, New Holstein, Justin (Jessica) Loose, Reedsville, Deidre Kocian, New Holstein, Amber Loose, Reedsville; eight grandchildren: Cody Rosner, Colin Rosner, Evelyn Lefeber, Sullivan Lefeber, Silas Lefeber, Keltyn Loose, Isabel Kocian, Chloe Loose; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Donald (Jeanette) Loose, Reedsville, Tuddy Loose, Howards Grove; one sister: Marlene Lemke, Brillion; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Barry Link, Milwaukee, Andrea (Stan) Zirbel, Wayside, Cheryl Link, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Milford and Rufina Loose; his wife: Debbie Loose; one brother: Myron Loose; one brother-in-law: Jerry Lemke; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lester Knitter and Shirley Link.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. John-St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 219 Manitowoc Street, Reedsville. The Rev. Darin Aden will officiating with burial to follow in the church’s west side cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Reedsville AMVETS Post #1032.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the church, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Due to the current pandemic, facial coverings will be required and social distancing when possible.
