Ray E. Siebert, 86, Wayside, passed away peacefully on Friday January 22, 2021.
He was born September 10, 1934 in Greenleaf to the late Walter and Emma Siebert. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army proudly as a cook. He had run his own trucking company and later at Tecumseh. After Ray was united in marriage to Rosella Pilger, they also had their own hobby farm, raising vegetables, especially potatoes,
a must every year, along with beef cattle. He and Rosella enjoyed traveling and spent their honeymoon in Europe. In in his younger years Ray loved to play baseball and bowl. He was also a past Chief the Wayside Fire Department, and an active member of the Way-Morr Lions Club.
He is survived by Rosella’s daughter Marlys (Harrison) Strother, his brother, Glen (Judy) Siebert, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved Rosella and his sister, Jeannette (William) Wingert.
Friends may visit after 9:00AM on Saturday January 30, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison, 7395 Cty Rd. W, Greenleaf. Services for Ray will begin at 11:00AM with Pastor James Enderle officiating.
