Raymond E. Sablich, age 84, a Brillion resident, died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Theda Care Regional Medical Center, Appleton.
He was born on September 26, 1935 in Caspian, MI., son of the late Nicolas and Milka (Susnyar) Sablich. Raymond graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1953 and Ferris State University, Big Rapids, MI. In 1964 he married the former Diane Bomaster at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gaastra, MI. In 1969, the family moved to Brillion where Raymond worked at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement in 1992. Raymond enjoyed tinkering and improving with electronics, ski jumping, cooking, music, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Diane Sablich, Brillion; and their four children: Mark (Connie) Sablich, DePere, Karl Sablich, Brillion, Nicholas (Jennifer) Sablich, Brillion, and Mary Sablich, Menasha. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jamie Sablich, Kaitlynn Marciniak (Cody), Dustin Sablich, Claire Sablich, Grace Sablich; three great grandchildren: Emma Darcy, Myles Marciniak, and Ethan Darcy; two sisters: Mary Ann (Dan) Keating, Carbondale, CO and Barbara (Richard) Riordan, Sandy Springs, GA.; a brother-in-law: Don (Jackie) Bomaster, Gaastra, MI.; and three sisters-in-law: Ruth Sablich, Mason, MI.; Sister Maureen, Manitowoc and Adell “Dollie” Kasten, Shawano. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law: Joseph Sablich, Louis (Phyllis) Sablich and a brother-in-law: Bruce Kasten.
