Beloved wife of Myron who preceded her in death on November 6, 2018. They had been married for 64 years.
Myron “Mike” and Ruth married shortly after both were released from military service in World War II. They married in Milwaukee and moved together from Milwaukee to Reedsville for a time before moving to Cato. They bought and managed a service station and dealership for many years. In their retirement, they moved back to Reedsville.
Here they raised their only son, Paul Seefeld. Ruth wanted nothing more than to have her family close and when Paul, his wife, Susan, and their family returned to Reedsville several years ago, she said the Lord answered her prayers. Ruth has one granddaughter, Nicole (Davey) Baxter and three grandsons, Kade, Ryder, and Mason; two step-grandchildren Christi (Nelson) Cobble and Jeffrey Rightnar; two step-great-grandchildren: Nelson and Aidenn; and one step-great-great-granddaughter: Noelle. The family has been able to enjoy several years together.
Ruth and Mike were members of St. John and St. James Lutheran church in Reedsville. Ruth was an involved and active member of LWMS and Ladies Aide. Ruth was dedicated to her faith and lived her life in service to God by helping family, friends and others in any way she could. Her sewing and baking skills were called upon frequently. Her canning skills were used to fill their shelves until just a few years ago. Ruth gladly looked forward to visits from family both near and far.
Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters, and their spouses. She will be remembered by so many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews on both sides of her family. Ruth was a proficient typist and wrote many long and newsy letters to family and friends.
