Sandra A. Haberland, age 78, a Brillion resident, died early Monday morning, January 20, 2025 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
She was born on July 15, 1946 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Earl and Bernice (Hansen) Martin. Sandy was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. On August 2, 1969 she married Ralph Haberland at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2020. Sandy started her career at Diana Manufacturing in Green Bay until she and Ralph started their family. Sandy stayed at home with her children until 1988 when she went to work at Hardees in Brillion. She worked there until they closed. She then worked in childcare until “My Sunshine” was born in 2005; and watched her granddaughter Amber. Sandy enjoyed camping, shopping, cooking, and crocheting. She always went all out in decorating for holidays and looked forward to her girl outings with Jody and Amber. Sandy was always up for new things “just for something different.”
Survivors include her children: Jody (Todd) Lau and Rick Haberland, her granddaughter: Amber Lau (special friend Austin Schwartz); a brother and sister-in-law: Gary (Sue) Martin; other in-laws: Dennis (Phyllis) Seidl, Roger Haberland; step siblings-in-law: John (Gloria) Pischke and Diane Pischke; and family friends: Rev. Kevin Dembinski and Choua. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Earl & Bernice (Hansen) Martin; her husband: Ralph; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Raymond and Aleta (Rosin) Haberland; and sisters-in-law: an infant sister-in-law, Myrna Seidl and Jean Haberland.
