Sandra J. (Corbeil) Blashka, age 78, of Brillion, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Sandy was born on August 25, 1944 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Hermann and Fern (Kaufmann) Corbeil Sr. where she was one of twelve children. She attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School and then began her career with Mirro in Manitowoc until her children were born and later worked at Northern Labs. On April 18, 1964 she married Patrick Blashka Sr. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. After her children were grown, she also worked at the Larsen Canning Company. Sandy love to cook in large amounts even after the children where gone. She would love to cook for Manitowoc County Fish & Game when they had their meetings at the Viking Bow & Gun Club and she also cooked for the gun club as well. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Survivors include her husband: Patrick Blashka, Sr., Brillion; her children: Victoria Blashka, Two Rivers, Patrick (Kim) Blashka, JR., Reedsville, Christine (Hector) Garcia, Brillion, Mike (Katie) Blashka, Reedsville, Carla (Chris) Suchan, Hilbert; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one brother: Lee Corbeil, Iron Ridge; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Janet Cotts, Red Granite, Bill (Pauline) Blashka, Sheboygan, Jim (Diane) Blashka, Morrison, Mary (Donald) Bender, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; one great grandchild; her siblings: Lyle, Russel, Ivan, Ivoe, Hermann, Jr., Neil, baby Ruth, Darlene and Steven; and five sisters-in-law. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Pomeroy with burial to follow at Branch Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Online condolences may be made.
