Obituary: Sandy L. Mangin

Sandy L. Mangin, loving wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and dearest daughter, age 60, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.



Sandy was born in Chilton, WI on June 6, 1963 to Roger Riemer and the late Delores (Vosters) Riemer. She attended school in Hilbert and later earned her license of cosmetology at Martin's Cosmetology School. On September 13, 1986, she was united in marriage to Norbert A. Mangin at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. The couple was blessed with three children and thirty-six years of marriage.


Sandy and Norb were also blessed with nine grandchildren who were the pride & joy of Sandy's life. Sandy enjoyed babysitting the grandkids and loved any & all family gatherings, always making sure there was plenty of food prepared. She enjoyed family vacations, especially going to Disney World (multiple times) with the kids, and loved running the farm with her husband Norb and the kids. Sandy also enjoyed "tours with her sisters", painting projects, and was an avid reader. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.


Survivors include her husband, Norbert; two sons & daughters-in-law: Brandon (Jennifer) Mangin of Freedom, Justin (Samantha) Mangin of Maple Grove; one daughter & son-in-law, Lauren (Bryce) Sanor of Ohio; her nine grandchildren: Catherine, Charlotte, Cullen, Blake, Corbin, Caroline, Everett, Becket, and Langston; her father, Roger Riemer of Hilbert; and her mother-in-law & father-in-law, Rosemary and Lyle Mangin of Taus. She is further survived by eleven siblings: Mary Kay (Bob) Rosin, Connie (Tom) Klotz, Sherry (Bob) Davidovich, Lynn (Troy) Stiefvater, Kelly (Sam) Schmitz, Tom (Kelly) Riemer, Mark (Michelle) Riemer, Keith (Laura) Riemer, Kim Baer (special friend, Darrel), Mike (Rachel) Riemer, and Joe Riemer; seven sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Patti (Jim) Rathsack, David (Bev) Mangin, Bill Mangin, Tess (Eric) Ketelson, Rea (Dan) Orzechowski, Sandy (John) Murphy, Ginny (Jason) Monfils; along with many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Riemer; her grandparents, Pete and Minnie Vosters & Margaret and Martin Riemer; and a brother-in-law, Donald Paul Mangin.


Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at Holy Family Parish. Burial took place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove.
