Wendy Jo Schaefer, age 54, a Collins resident, died Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born on March 5, 1968 in Manitowoc, daughter of Gloria (Lau) Robley and the late Merlin Robley. Wendy attended grade school at St. John St. James, Reedsville and was a graduate of Reedsville High School, class of 1986. On June 29, 1991 she married Douglas “Doug” J. Schaefer at St. John St. James Church, Reedsville. The couple just celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas, her favorite place. During her career, Wendy worked at various places including Mirro Company and Spartec, both of Manitowoc. She was currently co-owner of Three Oaks Firewood and also Tall Pine Trucking LLC. Wendy enjoyed going to the casino, trips with her family, rummaging, reading, gardening, games on her phone and remodeling. She was always there to help her family when needed. Survivors include her husband of 30 years: Doug; their son: Brandon; her dog: Max; siblings: Randy (Lisa) Robley, Gary (Rita) Robley, Lori (Len) Mullen, Steve (friend Andrea) Robley, Dave (Karie) Robley; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jerome & Nancy Schaefer; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Lori (Tom) Kalies and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Scott (Rose) Schaefer. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Merlin; a brother: Jeffrey Robley, and a nephew: Justin Robley. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Collins. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Robert Weiss.
