OBITUARY: Zachary Calonder

Zachary Calonder was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at age 31.

Loving husband of Sarah (nee Goetz). Dear son of Paul and Kathy Calonder. Brother of Adam (Amy) Calonder, Seth (Emily) Calonder, and Rebekah (Ryan) Kirchner. Brother-in-law of Adam Goetz. Son-in-law of David and Marcy Goetz. Uncle of Avary, Braydon, Hadley Calonder; Brinley, Greyson, and Rowen Calonder; Alexandra Kirchner; Lukas and Jaelynn Goetz. Preceded in death by his grandparents; Carl and Viola Calonder; and George and Marlene Rosa. Also loved by many family members, friends, and his canine companions Rascal and Penny. Visitation at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4419 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee; Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral Service 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Zach’s memory to the Wisconsin Humane Society are appreciated. Zach was born September 15, 1988 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. He graduated from Kiel High School in 2007 where he was active in swimming, drama, chorus, band, and the Rube Goldberg Engineering Contests. He continued his education at Milwaukee School of Engineering where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. It was at MSOE that he met his true love and future wife, Sarah Goetz, who he married on October 17, 2015.

Zach and Sarah loved traveling in the United States and internationally. He enjoyed the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Zach, always very creative and caring could fix almost anything and spent hours working on their home in Milwaukee. Zach will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
