UW-Extension in Calumet County is excited to announce the addition of our Agriculture Extension Educator, Amber O’Brien, to the UW-Extension team.
The county has been without an ag agent since Eric Ronk took a faculty position at the UW-Madison.
O’Brien will focus on issues facing farm management, livestock, crops and forage, and agriculture awareness. Amber brings a passion for agriculture and a diverse work experience to the position.
Amber worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician and Herdsman at Holsum’s Elm Dairy and Drumlin Dairy in Calumet County with both cows and goats. She also spends time working on her father’s grain farm with all aspects of the business.
More about Amber O’Brien will be featured in the May 31 print edition of THE BRILLION NEWS.
Amber begins her position on June 1. Light refreshments will be served from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 1 at the Calumet County UW-Extension office at 206 Court St, Chilton, Room 301 .
Members of the community are invited to stop by the office to meet Amber and welcome her to the position.
