Traffic fatality in Town of Brillion

One person died in a traffic accident in the Town of Brillion on Monday night.


The Calumet County Sheriff's Office was notified of a two vehicle crash on Highway 57, South of County Highway K at 5:38 p.m.


The initial investigation determined that a northbound sport utility vehicle driven by a 69-year-old male from Green Bay crossed into the southbound lane striking a southbound pickup truck driven by a 59-year-old male from Sherwood head on.


The 69-year-old male driver of the SUV from Green Bay was pronounced dead at the scene. A 52-year-old female passenger in the SUV, also from Green Bay, was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Neenah with non-life threatening injuries.


The 59-year-old driver of the truck was also transported by Gold Cross to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Neenah with non-life threatening injuries.


The crash is currently under investigation. Names of operators and passenger are being withheld at this time pending completion of the investigation.


The Calumet County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Gold Cross Ambulance, Brillion First Responders, Forest Junction Fire Department, Brillion Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Calumet County Medical Examiner's Office.
