Village of Greenleaf is official

GREENLEAF - Add Greenleaf to the list of municipalities in Brown County.

Voters in Greenleaf approved the village becoming official in a runaway vote on Tuesday.

The vote was 106 yes votes and 9 no votes.

The vote ends a lengthy process to incorporate Greenleaf as a village. In 2022, a state board approved part of the Town of Wrightstown's incorporation into the Village of Greenleaf.

The village will be centered around the State 57 and State 96 roundabout. Nearby land remained with the Town of Wrightstown.

Advocates for the incorporation said it would help preserve Greenleaf's rural land and village borders while residents keep their same services like law enforcement and fire protection.
