WIAA football brackets released

The WIAA released brackets for the 2024 playoffs on Saturday morning. All Level 1 playoff games are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m.

Division 5

Brillion received a No. 6 seed and will play at No. 3 Kewaunee. The Lions finished the regular season with a 26-14 loss at Valders on Friday night. A win would have ensured a playoff berth but even with the loss, the Lions finished 5-4 overall in the regular season and 3-4 in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference.

This is the fourth time the Lions have made the playoffs in seven seasons under Coach Tanner Behnke (2020, 2021, 2022).

Division 6

Reedsville received a No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Manitowoc Lutheran. The playoff game will be a rare rematch in back-to-back weeks. Manitowoc Lutheran beat Reedsville 14-7 on Friday night.

The Panthers clinched their playoff spot two weeks ago. This is the eighth straight year Reedsville qualified for the playoffs.

Division 7

Hilbert received a No. 7 seed and will play at No. 2 Iola-Scandinavia. The Wolves completed the regular season with a 25-21 win at Oostburg on Friday night.

This is the first time Hilbert has made the playoffs under second-year coach Ben Krueger.
